Derby working the party

WASHINGTON — Haven’t spotted her yet myself, but word is Democrat Jill Derby is in town and will be the guest of honor tonight at a meet-and-greet event on the Hill.

Derby is running in the other closely-watched congressional race in Nevada, the one that hasn't been getting headlines this week. The former state party leader is in a rematch against Republican Rep. Dean Heller for the mostly northern Nevada district.

Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley is hosting the get-together, having invited every Democratic member of Congress to her Capitol Hill townhouse for the event.
