Anjeanette Damon reports that Gibbons approval rating has fallen to 27 percent, the lowest level since RGJ began polling on the governor's job performance. "His approval rating has dropped from the low 30s, where it had been hovering for more than a year. His highest marks came in at 40 percent in November," Damon writes.

Shocked, I tell you! Shocked! This poll can't be correct. If only McCain had chosen articulate, educated, fighter pilot, a real "people person" like Jim Gibbons - he'd be winning Nevada hands down. Instead, McCain drove all the way to Alaska to find his mate. I just can't vote for Obama. He is Hawaiian and they all run around naked every day worshipping sun gods. Hey, how about that Bob Barr? An alternative exists!
Gibbons looks pretty good to me right now. If he had allowed the Democrats to have their way and expand the already bloated budget, we'd be in more trouble than we are right now. Gibbons is a responsible public servant and we should be thankful he's governor during this difficult period.
Of course, Ralston might have a different take on this....

He's still got some work to do to catch Boss Reid who's almost into single digits.
Why is NevaDUH the epicenter of incompetent politicos? Oh, yeah, I forgot; we elect 'em.
He is going to turn that around; Gibbons is posting on CL personals......
Enjoy it. You've got a few more years of Gibbons left....
27 is a good base, of course 40 was a better base.
Speaking of, Where is the Wizard of Oz? Does he have a secret layer at his Reno house with Dr. Evil? I wonder how willing Shelden will be to sponsor Gibbo after the market crash. Will Gibbons in 2011 be holding a sign, "Will Text For Food".
