It's that time of year when every pro and amateur critic and columnist compiles his or her "best of 2008" lists and sends them out into the world. My Sun colleagues and I will undoubtedly be adding our wrapups to the pile someday soon.
In the meantime, here are two sites that are aggregating all the end-of-the-year best-ofs, all in one convenient place. The page at Filmoculous is almost ridiculously comprensive, including bests (and worsts) in advertising, toys and games, food -- and even online searches -- in addition to the usual roundup of books, CDs and movies.
And the wonderful Largehearted Boy blog, which covers music, literature and pop culture, is compiling its own List of Lists, with daily updates from an astonishing array of newspapers, magazines and blogs.
In no particular order: Portishead, Vampire Weekend, Santogold, Lykke Li, She & Him, Magnetic Fields, Adele, Los Campesinos!, Goldfrapp and Janelle Monae.
