This is a 360 degree panorama of "Double Negative", Michael Heizer's first prominent earthwork, on the eastern edge of Mormon Mesa northwest of Overton. “Double Negative” is one of the largest sculptures in the world, measuring 1,500 feet long, 30 feet wide and 50 feet deep.
Some 240,000 tons of rhyolite and sandstone were blasted and scooped away in 1969 to create the negative sculpture now owned by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
