Correction: Congress-2nd District story
Fri, Aug 1, 2008 (11:45 a.m.)
In a July 28 story about the Nevada congressional race, The Associated Press incorrectly said Democratic candidate Jill Derby had raised $870,636 by June 30. Her correct total on that date was $439,422.
The story also quoted Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., as saying, "If you make $500,000 gross in a year, a half million, you are considered wealthy with this Congress and my opponent," and indicated he meant Derby. The story should have made clear that Heller was referring to small-business owners targeted in a tax bill sponsored by Democrats.
