Henderson to offer buyouts to city employees; layoffs possible

Henderson will offer employees a buyout as part of its strategy to cover a projected $28.4 million revenue shortfall, and city leaders have not ruled out layoffs to make ends meet.
Henderson's Planning Commission has recommended approval of Park Heights, a mixed-use development planned for 40 acres at Interstate 215 and Stephanie Street.

There’s some good news for a major development project in Henderson. The city Planning Commission has recommended approving Park Heights, a 40-acre project anchored by what would be the tallest building in the city. The “tallest” title now goes to Sunset Station, at 230 feet.

The first major steps in a what is likely to be a long trek toward demolition of the Cashman Field baseball stadium and Cashman Center took place last week.
