And sophomore Tre’Von Willis, before a crowd that included about 50 friends and relatives, proved his growing value at the point. Nearly every UNLV player and coach agreed that it might have been the best singular play of the Rebels’ season so far.

Fresno State brings a matchup of sibling rivalry: REBELS BASKETBALL: Willis will face older brother with both teams coming off tough losses; Wednesday, December 3, 2008; By Rob Miech; UNLV sophomore point guard Tre’Von Willis knows exactly what Fresno State guard Dwight O’Neil will try to do tonight. “He likes to go right,” said Willis, with a sly smile. “He favors the right a lot. I know that personally.” Because the Bulldogs’ senior floor leader just happens to be Willis’s older brother.

Bearcats capitalize on Rebels' late free throw woes, triumph 67-65: Saturday, November 29, 2008; By Ryan Greene; Just when UNLV looked like it was turning the offensive corner Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center, Cincinnati showed up one final time, with a key 8-0 run late which propelled the Bearcats to a 67-65 victory over the host Rebels in the Global Sports Classic. UNLV went 0-2 on the weekend, is now 5-2 on the season and travels for road games twice this week - Wednesday night at Fresno State, then Saturday at UNR.
