It can't be easy for Harry Reid when you consider that you have the largest local daily alleged newspaper using its front page to smear him whenever possible, and people like Nance who seem to think that Fox News and the R-J actually are journalistic enterprises. Thankfully, Reid has two years to remind Nevadans of why they--we--need to keep him in office.
I would like to thank those who have commented about Nance's misreading of my post. But, let's be fair. If he didn't misread them, he'd have no choice but to accept that he's wrong. Republicans don't do that very well.
Nance, four problems with your theory:
1. At least Titus, unlike her predecessor, won't be carrying the bags for leaders who crookedly filled them with our money.
2. Most beginning members of the House tend to be minor figures.
3. A junior member who got some help from the Senate majority leader who is from her state and is very smart and capable, as Titus is, has a better chance of getting people to listen than, say, a hateful little man who just jumps when told to do so.
4. You might recall a freshman congressman named John Ensign who was immediately put on Ways and Means. If someone of Ensign's abilities can do that well that fast, Titus has a chance of doing some meaningful things, whatever committee she is on.
I love Washoe County, but I do not live there. I live in Clark County. So, supposedly, does State Senator Horsford. And I would like to see him think about his constituents first. Be sure to tell your legislator, Democratic or Republican, to vote for Clark County's interests. They are supposed to represent YOU. They are supposed to represent US.

Scott, you might guess wrong. I happen to think someone who is well informed reads and listens to a variety of viewpoints--not just the ones s/he agrees with. By doing so, I know that the Sun is not liberal because I read publications that really are liberal, and the R-J and the often mispronounced Fox News, Dave, are not fair and balanced. I don't happen to think any publication or network is fair and balanced. But I know better than to claim that propagandists like the people at Fox News and the R-J are fair and balanced. Happy Thanksgiving, and be thankful for a First Amendment that enables you to make such ridiculous statements as "the radical left that has taken over our government" without fear of retribution from those who know better.
