Neiman....the whole essence of donating a heart is to save a life. I don't see anything wrong or anything disrespectful about celebrating this gift. That said, you're right in one sense, all those that care about Gondo need to thank this anonymous, but caring individual that allowed this day to happen.
Gotta feel bad for Star Fuimaono...he looks incredible when he's playing, but then the injury bug hits.
Kinda reminds me of a former UNLV linebacker great....James Sunia. Lets just hope Starr gets back to playing at the level he's been at, and moves on to the next level. Sunia never got that chance, and the time away seemed to hurt him some.
exactly SMB, UNLV should've been predicted to finish last based on prior years' results, but that doesn't mean squat for this year.
Between the tackles, from scrimmage, this game was far more competitive than people that didn't see it, realize. The problem is, UNLV still made mistakes like Sanford said.....the punt and kick coverage alone, probably, lost this game for UNLV. You punt for field position, you don't do it so they can start back at the same place you punted it, and UNLV was weak in getting to the tackle and the one returner from Utah (Reed) averaged 35 yards on returns (consider that our punter averaged 44 yard on the game, the Rebels may as well just use all four downs in the future).
If UNLV can shore up that one area, and stay away from the penalties that kill momentum, there's no reason this team can't do something special this year....next year, forget about it, this team will be special next year...barring injuries.
Great blog Jason. Keep up the good work and know that this fan base is ready and willing to step it up in its support of Football (not just bball). Win or lose, we just want a team we can be proud of, and it appears to be heading in that direction.

In other words, the tournament will be in SLC after the T&M contract is up. That ought to be fun, scheduling the tournament around the Utah Jazz schedule.
Anyway, its not a bad location, and more central than Denver. They even sell 3.2% beer at the arena for those that need their beverage to watch a game...however, Red Bull will give you more of a buzz...but hey, at least its not like BYU's campus where you can't even get a coke.
